Found this site when I started looking for a truck last year. Just became a member today. Very pleased with the information and builds I've seen.

Mine came to me as a wore out hunting truck. With almost 285k on it. And now it's lifted and most of the suspension has been replaced.

    Nice! How much lift?

I bought my 96 2wd with 143k on it, not running. It sat for probably seven or eight years before I got it. Previous owner thought it had a blown head, sold it to me for $250. I went to tear the engine down and discovered that the head was good- he had popped a freeze plug by running the truck with water and no coolant in the winter, so the oil milked up. (Hence why he thought it had a blown head.) I've put 20k on it since I rebuilt it almost 4 years ago, and it's never let me down.
