Measure center of hub to bottom of fender. This disregards any difference in tire height. A true measurement of ride height. Make sure your on a level surface.

I managed to eliminate the preload at 2.5 by modifying and flipping my upper strut mount. Rides really nice now almost stock.

Installed them at home tonight. Pics to follow on Monday.

Pretty easy to install. I'm not a mechanic but I did have a shop to work in and all the nessesary tools plus an impact gun. Incuding time to take measurements, pics, test drive and re tighten everything I was done in under fout hours. I need an alignment tomorrow but here's what I think so far.

I set them at 1.75" and that's exactly what I got. This left me with 0.5" of rake. All my measurements were taken with a full tank of fuel, no driver and standard stuff (tire chains, tow strap, hi lift, axe and shovel) in the bed.

On crappy northern bc roads I found the ride to be fine. With the added benifit that the shocks do a better job of controlling the front end. Less brake dive more controlled over pot holes ect.

I'll update when I get a chance to hit some trails with my impressions of them off road. Next I plan on an alignment and swapping to 285/70r17 duratracs. I have 265/70r17 duratracs now. Then I'll see how much trimming and cutting I have to do. Then start on the rear suspension
