17" TRD wheels w/265/70/17 BFG KO2s, Weathertech mud flaps, Gecko LED bed lights, more to come.
When we looked at these back when they came out in September the inventory was slim to none and no one was taking anything off the price. Now that they're becoming more available dealers are a little more flexible. We got ours for $1500 off of MSRP, $500 over invoice (from what they showed us anyways).

I think it all depends on when you buy the vehicle. If you want to be the first person with a new year car you are going to pay more than someone that decides to get the last vehicle for the year. Another thing is Im not going to haggle for weeks with a dealer or say $500. Also like someone said in an earlier post, there might be a city of a million people and only a few dealerships so they know that they dont have to give any discounts because they know they will still sell than no matter what. On the opposite of that living in a small town the dealership might be only allotted so many vehicles so they are going to hold on to them to get the most out of them. I have seen a dealership say get a delivery of 10 vehicles. 7-8 are spoken for and the other 2-3 may only last a few days because some people do the drive by shopping. If they dont see what they want they are more than likely not going to stop. Then when they see something they like they will buy if for what ever price the dealer asks because they know it probably wont be there the next day.

Back to the original post of "Why are people paying markup for a Tacoma". Look at all the posts in "What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?". Read through that thread some. People are taking perfectly good trucks and spending all kinds of money to make them just the way they want. Taking brand new tires and wheels and swapping them out right away for different ones. And all kinds of other changes. People spending $1,000 - $5,000 or more. Do you really think those people were concerned if they paid MSRP instead of $1,000 or less over invoice?

Negotiating a couple of grand off a new vehicle isn't hard and it certainly helps pay for mods.
