    Hey all,

I've been looking at an Icon stage 4 tubular UCA package. In talking to one of the local shops and with my stock TRD OR rims (5.25" BS I believe) on 265 75 r16's (Duratracs), my understanding is that I will be rubbing against the Icon UCA's.

So given the fact that finances aren't unlimited and I can't afford to get both at the same time right now, should I replace the rims first to get some additional backspacing (SCS F5 w/ 4.5" backspace) and then do the suspension? Or would it be better to do everything at once -- ie. Suck it up and save up for a little longer?

Get the suspension and run wheel spacers until you get your wheels. Or just keep your stock wheels and run 285s. I did that for years with no issues.

Thanks for the reply! If the shop tells me my 265's are going to rub, won't the 285's be even worse being a taller and wider tire?

They will rub without wheel spacers.

G2, spidertrax, all pro. Just check the torque on your spacer lugs every time you change your oil and rotate your tires.

    Lift, wheels, tires
Stay with stock wheels. Get spacers. Then run 285's. That's my vote but I am biased because that what I did. But do it all at once. It's worth it. Trust me. Running around on stock tires with 4" of lift for a few months wasn't fun.
