Wanted to follow up with some new fit information. We now have a solution to get rid of the janky factory rack on the Double cab 05-15. This also works if you never had the factory racks installed. This is an awesome solution and we can use various bars up there. But what we are really excited about is the Rhino Pioneer platforms. Perfect for Car Top Tents!!!!

    Cost?

Is there a filler for the empty roof ditch between the top of the windshield and the forward mounting point shown in pictures 2&3?

The tracks are $180 and we charge $150 to install. We reuse the original strips after the tracks are installed, first pic has the strips installed.

Will you ship to Ohio for self installation?

What bars do you have on there and cost? Guessing the bars are quick release? I'd only need them for protection when hauling an 18' canoe.

    Is drilling necessary?

I don't have bars or rack currently also.

I've been waiting to add a basket that is the size of the roof.

There is some drilling into the ditch part to attach the track. The bars are Rhino Vortex with the RLT600 locking quick release towers, around $400 for the bar system, $180 for the tracks and $150 labor to install all items.

After learning of this game changing product, I went to my local Rack and Road in Sacramento to get a first hand look at these warlocks. Low and behold they had one pair in stock. The staff there are extremely knowledgeable on all things rack. I am genuinely impressed with their exemplary customer service! After a bit of him hawing it over (on my part), I said "let's do it." He said "when would you like to have them installed?" I replied "um how's about today?" His answer "you got it!" This was at 10 this morning, they estimated about 2 hours for the install. 12 o'clock on the dot I get a call saying my truck is done and I can come pick it up. I am super pleased with the install and I highly recommend Rack and Road of Sacramento to anyone looking to get one of the Rhino Rack Tracks installed or any other rack accessories for that matter.

I just don't get why they wouldn't make it bolt into the factory holes? I mean I can't imagine this is a universal track system. If you are going to make it specific to the taco why not go all the way. Then it would be an awesome system that required no drilling.

I was a little hesitant for that same reason. Maybe in the future they will...

If it used the factory holes, I'd purchase but I'm not keen on drilling where there will be water sitting on my truck.

Agree with what everyone else is saying. Does anyone know of any brand or company that makes these for the '16 DC tacoma that uses the factory holes?

Just get a front runner or prinsu rack. Both bolt into the existing holes and are probably equal in price by the time you pay for these tracks, the towers and the crossbars.

Thanks for the suggestion Zach. I'll be going the Prinsu route.

We have done three installs on the 2016 Tacoma's and a big problem is that there is no holes from the factory anymore. We have been installing tracks onto cars for decades and we always seal with proper hardware and marine grade silicone. The Rhino tracks have a gasket built onto them and with the weather proof sealed rivets and silicone there is no way you will get leakage if installed properly. In fact at Rack Attack you get a lifetime warranty against any leakage on all our custom installs.
