I'm finding the driver seat on my new 16 to be a bit narrower than I would like. The side bolsters press into my thighs a bit. Anyone else finding this to be true for them? I'm wondering if with some miles the bolsters will soften up some.

Not an issue for me. However it did take about 300 miles before I found a comfortable driving position. I was starting to get worried the seat positioning was going to hurt my back. Once I found the proper position I am happy with the seats.

How many miles you have on the truck. I am currently at about 850, bought it with 3.

230 but it's all in my gut. My frame is skinny. The Tundra had more comfortable seats, but I didn't want a truck that big or expensive.

Nope, actually find them bigger than my Gen 2. Not sure if they are or it's all in my head, but they feel that way.

I guess it's not that the seats are narrow so much as that the bolsters are wide and a bit firm.

    Try sitting in a lotus.

They are quite wide to me.

You'll be glad they are when you're bouncing around off road, if you do that sort of thing. Mostly logging roads for me to fishing lakes, but I get my fair share of bounces.

I find the seats to be quite comfy. I don't even notice the side bolsters.

I have a new Tundra now as a loaner. MUCH nicer seats. I'm tempted to trade. But a Tundra with the tech package would cost a lot more than my truck.

if you test drove the truck and then bought it why are you bitching? It's like bitching about how a pair of pants fit after you tried them on in a dressing room.

But you didn't buy the Tacoma for the seats anyway. It is a completely different truck with different capabilities. It doesn't make sense to trade it in because the seats don't fit you. That should have been figured out before you bought it. I know I'm coming across as rude but I'm trying to be somewhat helpful to this thread :)

I thought my 2nd gens were too wwiiddee. My T4R is the same...I can actually have to lean one way or the other to touch the bolsters on the back lower back.

The Tacoma seats are much better than my Frontiers were but not as good as my 05 Wranglers were.

The Tacoma has all the other features and size I want. I just wish it had bigger seats.
