I've been contemplating a truck camper for a few months now. Was really itching for a Four Wheel Campers Eagle or Fleet. Very spendy and hard to find used and when you find used they are still spendy.

In my searches I found a very reasonable near/like new Caribou Lite which I did not even know existed until last Friday. Cheaper and local(builder) to me so warranty/service would be simpler. On the surface, appears to be better built, lighter, and cheaper. Combined w/ local manufacturer and seller, I'm very much considering one.

Any experience with this manufacturer? There's not a lot of info on the internets either.

The one I'm looking at is about $4K cheaper than a new FWC Fleet or Eagle w/ similar options. The Outfitter's base price is more than the FWC but the standard options on the Outfitter's adds up to about $3-4k more for the FWC.

Popup truck campers are expensive to begin with. I was looking about ten years ago and ended up with a toy hauler due to the price. The FWC hold their value VERY well. The Outfitter's seems like a better value but if you don't get back what you do on the FWC than it's not worth the savings.

Unless I'm mistaken the Caribou Light fits a Tundra not a Tacoma.

Their website does show a few pictures of a Tacoma with one. Looks like a nice set up.

I have looked into both campers for a while.
Outfitters builds one for a Tacoma.
$1800 loaded. You can even get a cassette Potty. Full size bed and mattress.
    Under 1000 lbs
FWC are great to. And better resale
If I was going to buy new I would probably go outfitters
