T@co_Pr3runn3r, He has added a power sliding rear glass. The latch is no longer needed so naz is asking how to get the 'patch' off where the latch to the slider used to be.

nazlax10 if the patch is held on with adhesive I would try a hairdryer or heat gun and a scraper suitable for glass. I hear fishing line works well used as a sort of saw. If the window has aftermarket tint I would probably just let it be unless you plan on re-tinting that section.

no, these are the oversized regular length. I looked around for a long time before I settled on these. My main issue with flaps is rubbing and these (with the brackets) solve that issue. you may be able to round the outside on your own with some patience. good luck.

It's skid guard safety tape from lowes. Not exactly sure how long it will stay on but the adhesive on it is very strong.

Actually, I bought them on here from a guy that was selling them. You can find them on places like E-bay and the like.

Just for the fun of it, did a little trim paintwork. Someday when I feel brave enough to take the center section out of the dash, I want to do the panels on either side of the radio housing in the same way.

Grill mod from Custom Car Grills.com went pretty smoothly. Lots of running my air powered sawzall and dremel tool. Automotive GOOP held everything in place. That stuff really is amazing. Overall, pretty easy install if you are willing to hack up your factory grill.

Thanks for answering that for me 2010TRDOFFROAD. Also I may try that but it's factory tint. I figured heat with a scraper would be the best way to go but was just wanting that warm fuzzy feeling of someone else doing it successfully haha. Thanks!

Of course. I bought a regular window regulator, mine is from an 02 trail blazer but any will do. Then I mounted that to the back wall of the truck. And yes I had to cut my plastic inserts but I'm having a friend 3d print a cover for me :D
    20160215_160042.jpg
    20160229_081807.jpg
Then I ran the cables through holes I drilled on the ends of the window tracks.
    20160229_081849.jpg 20160229_081917.jpg
Then attached the cable ends to a custom bracket I had machined.
    20160229_081902.jpg
The switch I'm using is from an 04 Sienna. The one next to traction control.

This mod is simple in theory but not in application. It is definitely do able if you are patient and plan ahead, which a lot of times I didn't but that's what the patience is for.
The write up I followed is benwa's sliding rear window kit but he stopped making them so members have made their own versions. If you go to that post use post #1500. It's very informative and everyone there will help you the best they can as will I if you have any questions.

Started Yesterday by doing the Fog Light Anytime mod, then installed the Blue Sea Aux Fuse Panel and a 100amp circuit breaker, finally finished out the day by installing a set of Cali Raised Ditch Light Brackets and a set of his 3x2 CREE pods. Just waiting on some OTRATTW Switches to come in to finish it out.
