I finally had to ask, because honestly i don't know. Why do people want the tents which mount in the bed or on top of the truck? It seems to me that the truck is stuck there once the tent is setup. For those of you that have the tent in the bed, then you cant store anything in there. Why not just setup a normal tent.

Again, honestly im just wondering why people have these. Let me know what i'm missing.

It's to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. Those of us that sleep in tents on the ground are screwed, while those in roof top tents can hold out, as long as they pulled up the ladders.

Truck bed tents are honestly fairly cheap and keeps you from setting up a tent on hard wet scary ground..

I do ask my self how people justify a RTT, they are crazy expensive... I want one so bad though... :anonymous:

Truck bed tent is life. I like being off the ground, keeps me away from critters and whatnot. But I dislike heights so I wont go the RTT route.

If I had the money I'd buy one. And I don't even camp. I'm sure I would camp more if I had one though.

I camp a lot. And I never get critters in my tent. Or water. Use a really good tent and a proper ground cloth.

I might get one. That way I can put my bikes on a trailer and sleep in the bed tent.
