I thought about heading to down to San Luis Pass or Quintana beach to chill.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Post in the HBS. I don't know of much going on. I'll have my own plans that weekend. But maybe @357sig knows of something going on.

We had a blast. I wish I would of brought my fishing gear. My girls son changed his mind on going to A&M Galveston about halfway through the day and we split before lunch. Later he said he wished we had stayed and done more of the tour, silly teenager trying to make adult decisions. So I took the extra time to look at a couple of properties I would like to buy for short term leasing on the island. One of which was planned but it was nice to hit the others all in the same trip.
We cooked out and hung out down on San Luis Pass both Friday and Saturday Night. We watched the sun set and the moon rise. It was amazing the difference between the nights! Friday night was very quiet I thought we where the only ones on the pass till we went to leave! Then we found a couple of trucks stuck, one in the dunes and one stuck in some mud on the way out.
The 1st one was a simple pull as he was high centered in the dunes, silly jeep. The 2nd one was a 2 wheel drive ranger who got so mad that he punched his buddies head light and his tail light. Breaking both the lights and possibly his hand. There was not not a good spot to try to drag him out so I turned it around and winched him backwards. I left those two with my old smittybilt snatch strap.
Saturday night it was like every drunk redneck from South Houston and Galveston Island was down there after dark. Shooting fireworks at each other, non stop doughnut shit show, people trying to out do each other with off camber parking... We loved the solitude of Friday night but we set up on the roof rack and watched the shit show to see who would be the 1st arrested or carted off in an ambulance.
Thankfully no one got hurt or arrested. We ended up dragging a couple of people out. Got some amazing pictures! I am still downloading some of the stuff off the camera but the ones on the phone where not that bad.
    Camera phone.....

I'm guessing you're looking at properties on the west end? You look across the bridge in the Surfside area at all?

I looked at some of the the stuff on the west end but they get pricey quick. I was looking more along the lines of a small house or two that I have to put some work into but even they are not as cheap I thought they where. Or they used to be...
I have looked on Surfside as well, I am hoping to make another run down there in a couple more weeks and look around a bit more to narrow down the search to a few neighborhoods
