Hello guys! I have read all weekend and the more I do the more lost I get! I have the 5100's on the way and trying to decide on tires, but I have read some many different options that some work and some rub. I'm looking to keep the great ride I have now but get 275/70/17 under the 5100's. Some say it's no problem at 1.75 and the truck is level and others say it will work but you will have to lift rear because 1.75 will be too high? I read something about make sure you get the TP14 spacer for the drivers side lean or a 1/2 on one side and 1/4 on the other?? I will take any advice on any of it! Just need some direction. Thanks

    - Bilstein 5100's set at 1.75 - 265/70/r17 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities - 6000k headlight and fog light bulbs - NiLight off road LED rear lights - Light bar mounted behind front bumper - White LEDs in dome, map, and sun visor - Tint (5% around / 35% front) - Universal 13 inch metal antenna - Beer bottle opener in bed - Organizer storage box in center console and glove compartment - Mounted MagLite to top of center console storage box - MGM grille - MGM rear bumper - CamLocker toolbox - Rubber floor mats - 2 USB and Cig lighter chargers in rear of center console - Headrest mounted iPad holders for rear seats
Setting the 5100's at .85 should pretty much get you level. Setting them at 1.75 will slightly make you nose high. I'm installing my 5100's this weekend and I have them set at 1.75 in the front. Keeping stock suspension in the rear. Wrapped my 17's in 265/70/r17 Wrangler Authorities. You shouldn't experience the taco lean since you are using stock coils. If you change out the coils with something after market then you'll notice the lean. Tacoma coils are side specific.

Here's a couple screen shots of Tacomas that are set at 1.75 in the front and running 265/70/r17's

What's your opinion on the 275/70/17?? You think they will work at 1.75??

At 1.75 you are not higher in front then the rear!! You have stock shocks in the back or 5100's all the way around. Thanks for your help

Sorry I just re-read where you are getting them put on this weekend. I just don't think you can get those 275/70/17 under with the .85 setting

I'm not too sure. Someone else will chime in shortly that may have an answer to this.

From the research I've done, setting them at 1.75 will make you slightly nose high.

No worries. I'm installing them myself this weekend to save some $$. It's very easy.

I have 5100's all around (front set at 1.75) with method wheels. Now @ 1.75 you are frame leveled but body wise nose high. Whees are 18x9 BS 4.5 ET -12, Tire 275/60R18. I rub a bit but it's on the mud flaps but i just shave a bit and the alignment was a big help to with the caster settings back in stock range. You will be nose high a bit and unload you will be bro leaned out! LOL. I got Hellwig helper springs to help out with a saggy rear end unload and without knowing it kinda give me a little lift with the tension I set on the helper springs, which i confirmed as i had to readjust my headlights back up a bit as well as measuring from front to back at the wheels to the top of the fenders. Hope this helps.

This might sound odd and or funny, but depending on where i was parked it was leveled or nose high. Sorry this isn't the best pic but hopefully you can see what im talking about.

Thanks guys. I'm kinda leaning maybe toward the 265/70/17 now and set at .85 and level so I don't have to worry about the rear. This truck rides a lot better than my 2007 and I really want keep it as close as possible

Sorry forgot to mention that I'm on the old 2+1 leaf pack...you should be leveled off the bat with the TSB 3+1 leaf pack. or another set of leafs depending on much lift you get with them.
