Going to be lifting my taco this week. I'm very used to swapping out the first ten tacoma struts and using blue loctite on the lower ball joint bolts that attach to the spindle.

I am wondering for the newer trucks do you need to put blue loctite on the bolts from the lower ball joint bracket to the spindle?

    Thanks!

I believe you need to use Red on larger diameter suspension bolts.

Factory service manual (page SP-44) does not specify Loctite when assembling. I didn't use it on mine. Just torqued each bolt to 118 ft-lb per the manual. It's been two years and I haven't had it fly apart yet. :)

Rust will usually keep them pretty tight. I actually put anti seize on every bolt on the truck i have taken off and reassembled and none have fallen off yet.
