You'd think this would be in the e-brochure http://www.toyota.com/content/ebrochure/2016/tacoma_ebrochure.pdf but I don't see it - which packages/trims come with a backup camera? I don't care that much about the cosmetic differences between the SR5 vs the TRD Sport. (The sport does have bigger and nicer wheels but I could upgrade those later.)

Am I missing that much going for the SRV over the sport? (Sorry I tried googling for this and not a lot about 2016 came up.)

Crap right after I posted I found it. Looks like it does.

But since I can't delete this post... Any of you that purchased the SR5 regret not getting the TRD Sport?

    Sr5 does.

Sr5 has keyed ignition and smaller display screen. Sport has push button start and larger display screen. Sr5 has linked navigation (use your phone and it displays on screen). Sport has integrated free navigation.

Also, I mean let's not forget THE SKEEWWWPPP.

Up to what you want. Go drive both and play with the push button start/screen and see if it is worth it. Also stare long and hard at that skewp and wonder if it is worth more to you than the e-locker in the Off road since off road and sport cost the same.

    You also get:
    stiffer suspension
    bigger wheels
    Wheel Fenders
    Side mirror indicators
    Different seat materials
    Fogs
    AC outlet

If you are going to get a loaded sr5 might as well do a TRD sport baseline like I did.

You can get the Entune premium in an SR5, which is the same as the TRD.

Right there with ya, the only thing I wish our SR5 had is an AC outlet in the bed. Very nice feature to have as regular campers, but we can manage without.

I think it'll be cheaper for me to just get the SR5 then go out and buy some new 17'' wheels. That's the main thing I'm missing off the Sport that I like.

Wish I had the ac outlet

The wireless charger would be nice but they make you get a bunch of other shit not interested in.

Plus would have to deal with that sport grill

Yeah the outlet would be nice. Not too big on the wireless charging IMO. easy enough to just plug in a usb

apparently the shift knob on the Sport is leather v.s the SR5 vinyl knob

that would be nice to have, love me some leather. Got quoted $90 from Toyota IIRC

I noticed a ton of people fell in love with the 2017 TRD Pro knob. I'm thinking come fall the buy and sell with be flooded with the leather knobs for cheap after people upgrade to the Pro knob.:hungry:

For what it's worth, I went with the SR5 purchase last night. Couldn't be more happy with the choice. Like I said, the only thing I'll want to change out is the wheels (but I would have wanted to change the TRD Sport wheels also.) Really dig the entune audio system that syncs up with my android (just wish they had a voice to text reply vs the standard quick replies that you seem to be limited to... maybe they do have the option, just haven't found it yet.)

Car dealerships are still annoying though. It's annoying how the finance guys love to push those extended warranty things.

I got the SR5 with tech/appearance package and love it and it was $4500 cheaper and I don't need a scoop or rear locker

I bought the SR5 and kept it for 5000 miles before taking it back and getting the TRD OR. I really wanted the OR capabilities and thought that I would be fine without since I really didn't NEED it but it kept eating me up. Now if I were looking at a 2wd SR5 vs a Sport I'd be fine with SR5 as what I really wanted is functionality. Functionally between the SR5 and Sport they are about the same. Same ride height, engine, towing, etc. Even if you get 4x4 on both you still lack the rear locker of the OR. Unless the cosmetic differences and the hood scoop matter enough I'd think about the SR5.

Also keep in mind the hood scoop is non functional as well.
