What are my options for an 02 sensor socket that has boogered threads? Can they be chased or do I have to cut all new threads? If I do the ID of the socket will be larger than the threads on the sensor itself, correct?

I think the thread size is 8mm, take a bolt with you to AutoZone or Orielly's & get the right tap & chase out the threads, install a new bolt & snug it down evenly, the gasket is thick & forgiving. Should work out ok.hopely
