Anyone sell their new Wranglers off their Off-Road to a tire shop? How much did you get? I would love to just craigslist, but I live don't live near the big city and I'm limited on space while waiting for them to sell.

I sell used tires on Craigslist all the time. Usually they're gone in a couple days.

Let's add the question - how much did you get for the Wranglers if you sold them on Craigslist?

Find out how much they cost new, and try to sell them for 75% of that.

I called several tires shops around here, and not a single one was willing to take the new tires off the truck. They just wanted to sell new tires, and that was it. I'll wear these out first, then upgrade later after getting more miles on the truck.

I have a 4x4 Sport. They had Firestone Destination LE2's on them. Tire shop bought them for $70/each and I used them as a credit towards my 265/70/17
    Cooper AT3's.

Most places won't buy them unless they specialize in selling used tires, too much liability.

Not the wranglers, but I was given $100 (canadian) per tire for my Firestones off the sport...... So like $12.50 USD?

Discount tire may offer a tire credit, they gave me $15/tire for 35K on my rugged fails.

I had a guy drive from two hours away to get my beat to hell Duratracs this fall. If you can't sell a tire on Craigslist, they can't be sold.

I've sold used tires with plugs in them that I was done racing on. I've sold 75% worn tires off my Highlander.

Granted, they've not been big cash cows, but they have covered the install costs of the new rubber; dismount/mount/balance/stems. But I didn't have to pay disposal/recycle fees for the shop to toss them, I didn't have advertising costs, they were gone in less than a week and someone who needed tires better than what they had was happy.

Brand new, less than 100km. I see you're in Alberta, if that's Calgary area check out Togo Tire, they were great to deal with.
