Since i have aspirations of having a pretty bitchin' truck i figured ill start a build thread for those that care, plus i have nothing better to do.

2005 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Off Road​

The day i took it home, and the beast that she replaced. Had to move to the city for school and the F-350 was just to much of a pain in the ass to park, plus i didn't foresee the dropping fuel cost.

Tires got here today!!

 

Nice wooden floor. Kind of grain is that? That rug looks good too.

 

Got everything rounded up, just need to order rear shocks. Now to play the waiting game until the dealer gets my frame in since i want to install everything after the swap.

 

Did bhlm today, need to restore lenses though

 

washed her and restored my headlights, also removed front plate.

Got my rear shocks yesterday. I now officially have everything to do my lift. Still waiting on toyota for the frame replacement, was told beginning of may at the latest but who the fuck knows. Projectors should be done and shipped end of next week or early the following, and I'm pretty close to getting my @HomerTaco Satoshi so things will apply come together soon

Well I called the dealer yesterday to get an update on the frame and got an explanation on how toyota has really slowed down on sending the frames out and they will let me know. They originally told me 144 days but we have surpassed that. Waiting for that phone call now.

 

Builder is shipping tommorow

 

Got my new headlights installed

 

Got the call I've been waiting for, trucks going in for frame replacement next Tuesday. Hopefully that will all go smooth, then as soon as that is done lift is going on

 

Dropped the truck off for the frame swap today, as soon as I get it back lift goes on

Had to use some military spring compressorsemester

 

Note for anyone wanting to run this setup; you have to do a cab mount chop and trim a lot of non visible plastic to get them to clear. Overall not to bad.
