I have searched around here and cannot find anything on first gens. I backed my trailer into the yard and unhooked the lights, and now my truck won't come out of park. Any ideas? I apologize for the redundancy if this has already been answered.

Tail light fuse is blown. Check fuse panel under the dash.

does the shifter button depress? maybe it's against the park gear heavier than normal (on an incline)? could be the electronics in the base of the shifter not reading the pedal is pressed

You pry the little cover off on the shifter housing and release the gear shifter to get it into the gear you want but I bet your tail lights are out as previously suggested. Mine would blow that 10amp fuse when ever I'd wash the undercarriage on my old 01 double cab
