I've put some miles on a buddy's CAAD 10 recently, my primary bike is a Synaps Carbon. Love my Synapse, but the CAAD10 felt a bit more direct - both in taking input and turning it into forward motion, and in handling. The CAAD12 looks awesome to me. If I were looking for a full on race bike, I'd probably go with the 12 instead of a Supersix.

Not the expert but the Allez is more likely a more comfortable, longer wheelbase bike. Something that you would be comfortable in something like a long distance Gran Fondo, without feeling like you've been riding a jackhammer all day.
The 12 might be a little on the race side, with a shorter wheelbase, tighter turning, etc. Something that would get you off the line quickly and move around other bikes in close quarters.
Do your homework though. These guys aren't on the cheap side. And if you don't LOVE your bike, you won't ride your bike.

I'm coming off a 2015 Allez Comp with 105, and moving into a Venge..and I can tell you that the new smart-weld Allez is a VERY competent and quick bike. It took a lot of deliberation to actually commit to the fact I'm going to be selling the Allez.

When I lived in Phoenix, I was riding at the cusp between B+ & A groups. I would go out and get dropped by fast A groups toward the very end, and I can tell you that the bike was not the problem, I was. I'm all for the Allez and freaking loved hammering down on people and dropping people obsessed with carbon on my humble aluminum bike.

Haha..it's kinda a dream bike for me. Venge Pro on HED Stinger 6 carbon tubulars, S-Works Aerofly handlebar..bike is at the shop getting cleaned up and ready to go and I'll get some good pics. It'll be pretty aggressive.

Dream bikes. Yes. All the time.

So many nice bikes out there...

My S3 is long in the tooth right now. I bought the frame "pre-owned" a few years back and built it up myself with DA DI2, an Oval Concepts aero cockpit, Zipp Firecrests, etc.

It's taken me through many a ride and a bunch of triathlons.

I can't see myself replacing it. I LOVE MY S3. And it loves me :)

Venge is back in my hands, and I've got about 100 miles on it. Two 70 minute rides @ 20.1 mph avg. Loving it.

Well, it's 40 degrees in Houston with 10-16mph winds...I guess that means it's time to ride
