You can always find a dirt bike on craigslist that is street legal. There are tons.

I have a 2005 kawasaki ex500. Great bike to learn on and fairly cheap. Reliable, has enough power, and last a long time

Yeah. I think i've seen someone in my town with a ex500. What do you guys think about enduros? The ones you can offroad and drive on the streets? I think those things are sweet.. Saw one driving into town yesterday that was an army green, had a ammo box on the back and i think it was a kawasaki maybe.

X2 I love my 03 DRZ400s. It's street legal from the factory and can hold its own in the dirt

Yea enduros are good for beginners, insurance is super cheap and they don't get as messed up if you drop them. They also hold there value pretty well.

    I had two before my DRZ. 74 cb750K and a 78 cb750A

The K was a pile of parts with a supposedly big bore'd motor. The A was a motor in a frame with the wheels stuck on it and a pile of parts. Got it all together and rode it around the neighborhood one time before the head gasket blew. Sold them both about two weeks later.

They're definitely great bikes, I wish I had more time to work on them.

Nothing wrong with that dude! I admire it.

I was just frustrated, wanted something turn key.

Didn't want to pull the valve cover again. Was pissed at myself. But i had no way of knowing that gasket was bad until it blew, because I hadn't taken the head off....just the valve cover (to polish it).

    Any pictures of your 750?
