    What do you guys like doing? outdoorsy, sports, foodie, beer and wine, celebrity tracker and famous places, or B&B by the beach? what kinda budget you working with?

    i would say just about all of that except following around famous people, i could give a shit less about that.


    as for the budget, i dont want to spend all i got, but im willing to spend more if its worth it... if that makes sense

    Just more info on routes:
    5 is like the Mass 90 but not a toll road
    101 is like the 2 lane portion of route 2
    Route 1 is just like 1/1a, becomes "main st." sometimes and has lights

    imho 1 is fun for a couple of hours to stop at the beach walk on the rocks... but I would plan on it as a day trip from San Diego or San Fran. Eventually when you just want to get there.... you are pretty trapped on route 1. (With the exception of if you are going to Hearst Castle like others have mentioned)

    If you like Hang gliders / paragliders check out Torrey Pines near San Diego.
