Congrats. But indeed it looks like a truck after an accident with an (yet) unpainted bumper.

    Is that really necessary?

It looks like a work truck, which is what the OP said it is!

I like it! Clean slate with tons of potential.

I think the sr is the best looking grill. Won't have to worry about rock chips

Nice looking truck. I'm looking to get an SR or SR5 with a 4 cyl. What kind of mpgs are you seeing with the 4?

I don't believe you lose Cruise when selecting the Utility pkg. Cruise is not std, you have to select the Convenience package at $900+ to gain and you can not get in conjunction with Utility pkg. Not sure what Toyota is thinking here.........IMO Cruise should be a standard item or available as stand along option or dealer installed as accessory.

First time you hand wash the truck you'll appreciate the black front. Bugs are much easier to remove and don't leave paint chips and bug debris. I have a 09 Reg. Cab Base w/ black front. Still looks great.

I hope you are still monitoring your entry...Can you tell me if the SR w/ the delete option lets you keep power locks. I know you mention it but the Toyota website says that isn't an option you can even buy with the rear seat delete (remote locks and cruise control is a separate option that can't be combined with the rear seat delete). Also would you still get a floor mounted floor shifter with the automatic with the rear seat delete? This is exactly what I want and need the auto for my wife. It appears the auto has a sport shift option with the floor mounted shifter. Several dealers are confused (idiots) and contradict each other. I thought you might know since you investigated, made a deal, and then bought this model (SR, w/rear seat delete, white).

Do you need to know, or care?
Never seen a "rear seat delete", can you take a picture of the interior and post it?

You get power locks, but not a fob to remote unlock them. Not sure if that can be added other than aftermarket. Cruise is 10-15mins of work and $40-60 in parts to add. Intermittent wipers are $90 in parts and 12mins to add. I am 99% sure you get the floor mounted shifter, but I have a manual.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is not just $1715 less for the utility package, it is $2630 less (with 4x4 SR access cab) because you have to get the convienence package with options ($915) if you don't get the utility package. That is a big chunk of change for a lot of stuff I did not want.

For 2wd SR AC it is $2195 less for the same reason (in 2wd the convienence package ($480) does not include alloys).
