    Hey all,

Just bought a set of TRD Headers from EBay and thought I would share what showed up. They are NIB from a Toyota dealer in FL. Must be from a warehouse they had. Anyway it lists they are for the t100 and I think it said a 98 Tacoma as well. The listing shows two types of headers. One is what I got and the other is a stock photo of t100 headers which has the front pipe on the passenger side going underneath the back two. I received the set that they took pics of on the box which looks like the Tacoma versions I've seen for sale.

From what I can see looking at other pics of the 04 tacoma (which is what I have), the only difference from other TRD Headers is that the down pipe is for the single cat set-up. I plan on taking the cats off so I'm ok with this not bolting directly up to my 2 cat system.

I know TRD Headers are hard to come by so I thought I would share if you had a single cat Tacoma or don't mind redoing your cat system to fit. They are $599. I think it said they have 6 left last time I looked. Here is the link.

Please post if you think my assessment is wrong it's not my intent to mislead anybody.

Yeah pretty neat to find a set NIB. It will be awhile before I install them. I just ordered the URD rear sim, but still need to decide on pipe size and choose a muffler before I can start.

I don't recall my TRD header in my '02 Taco is that color. Tomorrow, I will be home early enough with daylight to take some photos. Since I live in CA, it is a pain to do smoke check, since CA model has 2 cats. I had to modify mine, I am using TRD exhaust cat back system also, sound real deep. I am running TRD supercharged also, gas guzzler!

Well they fit. My assessment was correct on the single cat system. Devote a whole day if you plan on putting them on cause they are a pain.

I purchased two sets of TRD headers, one for my 4x4 Tacoma and the other for my s-runner. I called the dealership directly and was able to negotiate a slightly better price than advertised on ebay. They have only 4 left now.

I have a 2004 4x4 Double Cab....are you guys saying these headers will fit my truck if its not a CA model? I'd like to grab a set of some TRD headers, but they are hard to find....also dont want to take it in to get installed to have the guy tell me they wont fit either!

To my knowledge, the headers will fit, for the most part. The portion of the exhaust that will need modification will be the flange connection to the first cat if you your truck has 2 cats (which I assume all 01-04s have). The existing flange on the first cat in the 2 cat system has three studs that connect to the down pipe of exhaust manifold. These headers have a 2 bolt flange on the down pipe. Therefore, I assume you would have to either do a first cat delete and run a O2 simulator or cut out the existing flange and weld in a 2-bolt exhaust flange to mate with the flange on the header down pipe. There should be no problem bolting to the exhaust ports on the engine and I think it might be a tight fit in between the rear of the motor and the firewall but I don't think they touch. At least this is what I have gathered from my reading. I am also really thinking about getting some headers but I still don't have a welding machine that I can use to modify my exhaust.

Did these kits come with the copper gaskets for installation?

Not likely, since your truck probably has the EGR.
