Spiral cable

I have an issue getting another spiral cable for my 99 tacoma, Other than buying a brand new one from toyota ($360.00). I've found many replacements in wrecking yards, atleast they say it will work. However, the airbag connection is the connection that does not match my airbag. Would it be a bad idea to replace the spiral cable with the airbag that goes with it? 99s are hard to find, i've found a few 2000s with the same column, just a different airbag connection.

 

There are cheaper aftermarket options available online.

I asked couple auto stores if an aftermarket one was made, since they didnt even know what it was they assumed no. Thanks for the help though, it's unfourtunate that doorman doesn't make one that fits my 99 tacoma and closest one is almost $200.00. I looked for other aftermarket ones didn't find any, back to my original idea. Is it a bad idea to use a spiral cable/clock spring and airbag from a 2000 tacoma in my 99?
