I am looking at purchasing a new Tacoma in the next couple of months, I was interesting in knowing if they are getting the mileage that Toyota is stating they get (both better or worse).

Welcome to TW. There is an extensive thread on the 2016 mpg. The best bet though is to go to fuelly.Com and you can see the real deal.

I started with 17mpg, then down to about 16, after I hit the 4k miles it's gone up. Getting around 20.5 and did hit 21mpg. But, I'm a very aggressive driver, in all I would say Toyota is pretty close, for me anyway. If I did take off slower and cruise a little more, I'm sure it would hit the 23 or so.

Thanks for the input, most of my driving is in town but my drive is normally in the 50 MPH range, still better than the Nitro I currently have.
