will an ARB bumper for a 2010 fit on my 2014?? I looked it up and apparently ARB says no. I thought there aren't any changes to the trucks from 2005-2015? Other then a few cosmetics

It can be done. But it will require some modification. Exactly what needs to be modify to make it fit, I have no idea. I know @crazy joker has done it.

No. Not without a lot of fabrication/money. They changed the front end style in 2012.

Ok... What changed that'll require lots of money or fab? It looks like the only issue is the gap that'll exist due to the redesign of the grill/bumper top.

It's just a redesigned front end. It would be like buying a bumper for a fj cruiser. Sure you could "make " it work, but if your spending the money whey not get one that's made specific for your truck.

I just put a Pelfreybilt front bumper on my 2014. Highly highly recommended. Great family company and the bumper makes the truck a head turner.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I want a Pelfreybuilt but don't have the coin right now. I had the chance to buy an ARB for $500 but it is for a 2005-2012

Funny. I have the late model 2012-2015 Arb bumper (part no. ARB3423140) on my 2010.

Is it this one up on offer, for the Arb bumper at $500.00? This is a different part no, and i think a slightly earlier version to the ARB3423140, specific to the 2005-2011 version Tacoma.

These are the two Arb bumpers available for the 2nd gen, to my knowledge.

I think for either/or.. at most you are likely going to need to trim away some of the grill/bumper guard plastic that acts as skirting on the 2012-2015. The sub-frame mounts are the same 2005-2015.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but when I was building my Tacoma, I bought what I could afford at the time and didn't wait to save up for what I wanted. I ended up regretting it a ton! It cost more money and time too. Redoing the suspension again, buying new bumpers, etc...

I'm a huge advocate for doing things right the first time now! That's the way I'm building the 4Runner. It's slower, yeah, but it's great in the long run.

However, if you'd be happy with an ARB, then go for it! At least they are a good quality company. I bought shitty quality the first time around on my Tacoma.

The '05-'11 ARB fits the 2nd gen Taco much better than the '12-'15 ARB in my opinion. I bought mine new and chose to make the older style fit. It was actually pretty easy...

Did you have to have it re power coated? Or did you not use a torche to cut it?

All I cut was a small piece from each side of the vertical hoop supports to make room for the grill. That and the cut on the rubber in the picture are the only mods needed on the bumper (the truck will need more cutting though). I just used blue tape, a hole saw, and a reciprocating saw. I hit it with a file then used some Toyota MGM touch up paint which matched perfectly. Excuse the crappy picture, but you get the idea. There may be a couple pictures on the last page in my build too. I have pictures on the computer of the the whole project and plan to do a full write up some day...image.jpg
