your story reminded me of a time quite a few years ago. (96)
me and a friend opened a service garage in dayton ohio. we needed a service truck.
he had over $60,000.00 cash in hand. we drove to the local dealership (chevy) walked in, in our shop uniforms, there was seven salesmen on the floor.
not one acknowledged us due to having dirty uniforms on. we had been working most the day.
we walked around for 15- 20 minutes looking at various options on new 1500's.
finally i was ticked and getting impatient.
i spoke to the sales-manager on the floor and asked for assistance. we where told, "units in our price range was a crossed the lot in used cars!"
i was going to leave. my friend said why don't we just prove a point.:D
we walked over to the used car sales, asked if they could assist us on a new car as well? used car salesman said yes. i said great. right me up for a new 1500 wt 4.3 auto 2wd for the shop! he did.
then my friend says "he had been eyeballing a camaro ss". sales guy said i would be glad to help. he wrote up the deals, he about fell over when my friend pulled out a wad of cash and paid for both the units on the spot.
i was more then glad to tell the other salesmen off as we left! :brianr:
serves them right for judging people without even speaking to them first.

    .
This is exactly why i hate taking my trucks anywhere. Good shops are hard to find anymore.
