I just got my new batch of steel parts today. I'm gonna need up to 2 weeks to ship, probably will be painted black though, not zinc-nickel plated

Ok, so I have begun to do some welding on the next batch and I wanted to show you how revision 2 ended up looking, (compare post #102). These will now fit without massaging if you have or eventually buy a Pelfreybilt or AllproOffroad rear bumper. CBIoffroad and Trailgear bumpers are no problem either, they even fit with the previous design.

My brackets now fit within the space of the stock hanger for BOTH mounting positions. I want it so no one has to modify their brackets or bumper. There is only 1 extra step for the foremost position. Since the rear upper corner now only has 1 hole, simply match drill one 1/2" hole per bracket after the brackets are moved forward and bolted in the other 3 holes.

Here are some fresh pics of the current kit. In addition to the revised brackets, the stainless shackles are staying as a feature, and now have an improved hourglass shape for looks.

@ARCHIVE Is there any reason the shackles you provide with this kit are a "two piece" and not a gusseted one piece shackle? Seems like the two piece shackle would have more lateral movement.

Did you leave yours just bolted? Or put some welds on?

Bolt on for now, because i'm still working on things... I'm not sure if I would weld it or not, I like that I have the option to adjust, which is nice if I consider going to a 63 swap down the road. Thats also why I like the 2 piece shackle you can also make one to fit your application needs.

The high strength bolts are more than adequate for holding it to the frame on the Tacoma, and the Tacoma is cool in that it has the flange under the frame to support the load, plus the bolts allow you to make use of the adjustment

    Thank you Robert!

Good question, I have the same design on my 3/4 ton that has had 3,000 lbs of dirt in it, without feeling flexy, so I am confident the seperate shackles on the Tacoma will be fine. These shackles are 4", but any longer than 5" I would add a brace in between the 2 shackles
