I was thinking once I cut the vents it might not look so big and gaudy. I could cut it shorter and mess with the size of the lower skid. I thought about adding aluminum plates to the side "wings" as well. I just wasn't sure if that would be too much. The truck isn't a full blown desert rig by any means so I didn't want to go overboard.

That's the exact reason I've got no dimple dies. Bumper looks great!

Cut some holes in it for air and I think that helped the look of it. I need to find some metal screen for the vents. The cuts still need to be cleaned up.

I like it! Paint the white sheet metal underneath black and it will look much better

Nice work, but still not working for me. I think another horizontal bar 5-6" lower then the original, then attach the sheet. the angle wouldn't be so great and the piece wouldn't need to be so big. Of course this means the whole thing has to be done over.
2 horizontal bars with 5" vertical tie pieces, then everything else similar to what you got.

    Nice fab skills showing.

Hmmm... There is another horizontal bar about 5" lower than that top one. It's just currently covered by the plate.

I might sell this one and start a new one. I've learned soooo much and can probably do it in half the time. Time is limited these days so I only get an hour or two a week to work on it.
