    Remote engine start
Greetings to all hands. I've been driving this great truck for the past six months. Delightful experience every day. One week ago the brakes locked up on the vehicle, once in the afternoon and then again in the evening. On both occasions I called for help and the condition had resolved itself by the time assistance arrived. I put it down to perhaps, my inexperience with the vehicle. Today, coming to the boat shop with my friend Joel, the vehicle felt progressively more 'sluggish' for the last 150 feet of the drive. I attempted to put it from a parked position into forward and then reverse with no success. It felt very strongly locked, seized up, with the engine running perfectly. The only significant recent change that I can think of is that remote starting was installed about 3 weeks ago. I do not see how that could be causing the condition that I am experiencing today. After letting the vehicle set for an hour I went out and turned on the ignition. The truck moved into forward and reverse with no difficulty whatsoever. I am perplexed as to what is creating this condition. Any and all assistance with solving this mechanical dilemma will be appreciated.

Hi. You're in the new member forum, which is for introductions. Problem solving is best sought in specific forums. In your case, the 2nd gen would be the place for your question. Hopefully a mod will move it there for you........

But I'll kick us off. What do you mean when you say 'the brakes locked up' (twice). I know what the term means, but can you describe the specific behavior?

What's different between those instances and this last one?

When were the brakes last serviced?
