    Hello,
I recently purchased a set of 1st gen Tacoma Bilstein 5100 front and rears from you guys. I also bought the optional dust boots. I am having problems with the dust boots. They popped out of the metal ring on top and are now they are pressed/stuck down on the shock body. It seems like there isn't enough clearance between the shock body and the inner diameter of the dust cover. Are these covers really made to be used on the 1st gen Tacomas or are they a 2nd gen product that only sort of works on 1st gens? Will I have to disassemble these to remedy this problem?

    Thanks.

Bilstein doesn't make a boot for the first gen shock, it's a generic boot that works by size.
If yours is stuck and you aren't able to get it off the shock, you can cut it off.
