2008 TRD off road tacoma with 4wd on gear shift but no 4wd knob??

Hey guys, I have a 2008 trd off road tacoma and I have the 4wd and 3 and 2L options to shift into on my gear box. But i don't seem to have the knob on my dash to switch into 4wd?? Is the trd off road not equipped with 4wd? thanks

It says you have a prerunner. Prerunner are 2wd man.

 

The 4 on your gear box is for fourth gear. Slide it to "D" at its in 5th gear or overdrive

 

Yeah but the 4D on your hear box doesn't mean 4WD it's Drive then you shift to the left and you put it in 4 basically for down shifting purposes not 4 wheel drive you have yourself a 2wd

If the car was sold to you under the premise that it was four wheel drive the seller has some explaining to do OP.


It only costs thirty dollars to file a civil suit if you got ripped off and if it was a stealership do not forget to contact the BBB.
