I've been searching and trying to find a way to get my Android phone (Samsung GNote4) to work the way an iPod or iPhone works on the factory, non-Entune, touch screen head unit (for a '13).

For the life of me, I can't find anything!

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

Not sure itll work that way unless you "mount" the sd card. A usb stick will supposedly work though

I don't think it will work the same. Different controls/api's for Android/Apple products.

I've tried mounting it and setting up the file system to mimic the apple hierarchy, no luck. I haven't tried the usb stick though.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't really care about album art. I just want to display music details and play the music with an f-ing ipod.

I use a USB stick, it had a couple tricks I had to figure out but it works great. It only supports a certain number of formats, .WMA has worked best for me. I also had issues with it only supporting 192kbps and lower bit rates, anything higher and it won't play.

Once I got that figured out and got the files squared away I have 8 GBs of music. I just put each album in it's own file and can access each one as an album.

That'll work! I have a short usb stick that won't get in the way.

It didn't bold what I was quoting. . The 192kbps low bit rate sucks. But it's a stock system so you'll never hear the difference.
