Getting ready to go to Baja from December 19th to the 26th if anyone would like to join me. I'll post a trip thread some time next week when we get some of the details worked out.

I bought this as a second spare. At some point next year I'll get 4 more.

Tested the sliders and new hi lift. Both work.

Yesterday we took the bed off. We finished painting all the welded steel that holds the aux fuel tank. Fixed up the wiring. We had one bad connector they wasn't working. I replaced the momentary switch with a normal on/off switch. We also revealed the hole on the OEM tank where the aux tank pumps in. If the tank was full and I was off roading it would leak a little.
I also replaced the gasket on my camper shell.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. I'll be even more happy with it when I'm driving around Baja not thinking so much about where to get gas!

    Lol.
I've mocked it up in a bunch of place and just can't seem to make up my mind. I'd like it to be in place where it's secure, easy to access and out of the way. I think in the end I'll only be able to choose two of the three.

Okay. I'm back to admiring your work. Dare I ask how you got that burn?

I'm gonna write up something of a trip report and I'll explain then. It might have something to do with trying to rescue a motorcycle from the ocean.

    Thanks!

This is from one fill up going from just North of San Diego to San Jose and to work. Most of the driving was on the highway going 70-80mph with about 800 pounds of stuff.

There's a little moisture in the light bar. It probably has something to do with driving in the rain for 3 of the 7 days we went to Baja. Especially the part where we were going 65mph for 10 hours in the rain. Anyway, it was $90.... You get what you pay for. Although I will say second to the fridge the lightbar was super useful in Mexico.

So I took it apart. I'm going to let it dry in front of a fan for the week and maybe around Friday I'll seal it up and put it back together. There's a silicon gasket under the lens. I have some silicon grease for the gasket for my underwater camera housing I'd like to put on it. In addition to that I'm going to lay down a bead of silicon caulk.

    Fixed the light bar.

I decided that rather than throw $100 at a replacement shock that I'll just replace again in 4 months when I get the full OME kit from wheeler's I should just go ahead and spend a little more money now and get the kit early.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452781554.895981.jpg

I installed the OME AAL last night.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452781573.611403.jpg

I replaced both rear shocks. I'll probably have to take those out when I do the leaf packs this weekend but I could wait.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452781641.898835.jpg

The truck drives a million times better. I didn't realize just how bad the Biltein 5100's were worn out. When I drive I kind of brace myself for the truck to become upset when I hit any kind of bump. After 50k miles the old shocks were pretty much done. I'll keep the one that didn't break as a spare.
