I think most of us received first notice late last year.

I think US guys are beginning to receive 2nd notice?

Anyone in Canada receive 2nd notice for springs recall?

Not yet. But I have the brand new 4 leaf set from my frame swap. I should put them in the classifieds.

I don't think he's talking about the 3 vs 4 leaf springs. There's a recall notice for the leaf springs (I'm not certain which ones) that says it's possible for them to shift and puncture the fuel tank.

My truck was in for a safety truck sure enough one leaf is cracked. Dealer said there is no repair yet. I can't complete the safety check with a damaged spring. How's going to pay the bill for this know problem?

Got my second notice 3 weeks ago for my 4 leaf springs. Dealer to notify when inventory available. I continue to check for any breaks, especially Driver Side.

Spring update. I took photos of my broken spring and the 2" sag from passenger to driver side and sent them along with an email to toyota Canada. 1-1/2 weeks later toyota calls me to say even though the springs are not ready to release for a full recall campaign they will contact the destributer and get a set of springs for me that my dealer will install. Sometimes if you talk / email the right person things start happening.

I had my springs inspected at Newmarket Toyota.

They said the springs would eventually fail but ok for time being.

Regardless I had heavy duty springs installed at a local spring shop - last spring. lol

And in the fall Mississauga Toyota sent my receipts to Toyota Canada for reimbursement.

A short while later I received full payment by Toyota Canada for heavy duty springs and labour.
