Hey guys so I was getting my new shittybilt x20 100 winch ready to install on my new bumper, I was connecting the winch control wires and the positive stud sheared off will I was tightening the nut. I was not cranking on it by any means and there is no way it should have just came apart like that. Has anyone else has a similar problem with these winches?1457560691605-1912921219.jpg

I have the same winch and didn't have any issues with the posts. I would call the vendor and get a warranty replacement.

Same exact thing happened to me. Need to tighten those gingerly... I unscrewed the lower nut, connected the terminal, still worked fine..

If it's still off your truck, maybe you could warranty it... Otherwise it should still work fine.

Its Smittybilt (Shittybilt) so things like that are to be expected. Don't get me wrong, I have used many Chinese Smittybilt things in the past and will continue to do so, but I just expect "adequate" performance and not super high quality.
