Howdy, I will be stepping down from a 2015 GMC 3500HD Diesel quad cab long bed to a tacoma once the new truck comes in. I got to a point where I dont pull a heavy trailer anymore and want something a little cheaper and more fun. I've always been a fan of the tacoma and the 2016 pushed me over the edge of getting one. I placed my order last week and am impatiently waiting for it to come in.
Order specs: '16 Quicksand, TRD Off-Road 4x4, double cab, long bed, premium tech package.

Looking forward to learning about and wrenching on the new truck! I can't leave anything stock but I dont plan on getting very crazy with this build.

Welcome. I went from a 2000 f350 diesel to my 2005 Tacoma. I miss the f350 everyday but that's me.

Welcome. I was in your shoes, went from '14 2500 Ram Cummins to my '16 Tacoma. Love it but the loss of 600+ torque takes getting used to.

Yep same here. Sold all the heavy toys and asked myself, why am I still driving a lifted F-350 crew cab long box diesel? I don't miss much about the old Ford except for the power. It was nice when you wanted to "Hammer Down" and she let out a belch of coal and you were off and running. Good luck with your new Tacoma.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was, and still am, a little apprehensive of such a big change in vehicle. I know it'll take a lot of getting used to, in many different areas. Going from 400 hp and 800 ft/lbs of torque, being able to travel really far without filling up (100 gal total capacity), and just the general amount of room it has. But there area lot of great things about the tacoma too. Im excited and am already researching lifts/tires for when it gets here and when I have the money.
