Last week, for a brief time I head a moan/groan that appeared amplified by the throttle. So I was thinking exhaust sound.

    Yesterday was different.
Throughout the week I didnt hear it, or if I did it was brief and hardly noticeable. That was dry weather. Since yesterday and today we have had rain and wet driving conditions.

I didnt hear it in the morning.

So after work. I drove about an half hour mostly highway to the airport. Then parked and picked up mom. On the way home, in stop and go traffic a couple times I would hear a rattle/shuddering sound that appeared to come from the front right. It did not vibrate the vehicle. I wasnt feeling it, but it sounded like it could. This happened with the brakes on when accellerating from a stop then went away.

It also happened a couple times when backing up, after I shifted to R and gave her throttle. I would then go into drive and it usually went away.

This was exclusivey at low speeds and was not present up above 20 or so.

Also, a couple times when it was happening, I was able to stop it, or reduce it by turning the fan off on the climate controls. That took care of it in some respects, but didnt always eliminate it.

    Any ideas?

How much does your mom weigh? J/K :D

    - check if the fan is coming into contact with the shroud.
    - check belt tightess
    - check PS fluid level

    1) Auto trans.
    2) About 100 lbs. (wag). Definitely less than the GF or the wife.
