Before and After lift with question on wheels

Installed toytec 3" w/ rear AAL.
Now my question is what is the largest tire I can fit on my truck?
And what is the largest tire that will work with the stock rim, or do I need to go with a bigger rim to get a bigger tire.

So I could still run a 285/75r16, if I wanted a thicker/wider tire.. I would just rub a little? I want a bigger tire but I don't want to lose the beefy wide look

 

you can run a 285/75/16 and do a little trimming and maybe a cmc and be fine

 

right you can run the 285/75r16 and with 3inches up front you'll probably only have minor rubbing. you may have more rubbing when flexing/hitting big bumps

 

By rubbing do you guys mean hitting mechanical parts such as upper control arms, or rubbing like taking a corner and rubbing the plastic surroundings?

 

With a stock OEM wheel , you will need wheel spacers to run 285/75/16's

 

If you want to run 285/75r16's with your lift and stock OR rims, you're going to need wheel spacers in the front so that the tire clears the UCA. If you don't have spacers with that size of a tire and the stock rims, you're going to hit the UCA.

I'm running 285/70r17 Goodyear Duratracs on my truck and the front is a little over 3' with my Bilstein 5100's set at .85 with OME 885x coils. I rub at full lock in reverse and had to do the cab mount chop as well as a lot of plastic trimming.

I don't know how much spacing is needed so that I don't rub.

I would recommend Spidertraxx 1.25' hub centric spacers, a lot of guys on here run them and have zero problems or complaints

 

Go with some new spacers. I've linked to the Toytec site where you can buy 'em.

Just trying to give the guy more ideas for a wider tire with little to no trimming.

Just put 255/85/16s on my 2004 Tacoma Double Cab with stock rims and a 3 inch lift. They do rub a full steering lock. They barely clear the upper control arms.

 

I've found Bora spacers to be equal in quality to Spidertrax and available in 3/4" and 1" (along with 1-1/4", 1-1/2") 3/4" are enough to get the job done as are the 1" and in theory, less stress on ball joints/wheel bearings etc...I did the 1" just to be on the safe side....3/4" would have been plenty. I know of 4 differet trucks running the 3/4" with no issues.
