Your 100k may not equal the next quys 100k, so that's not the best guide.

A compression test, including leakdown, and an oil analysis from an independent lab will tell you if the motor is healthy enough to deal with boost.

I thought getting the cold air intake K&N it would do that for 400.00 I got that sounds cool

1st questions) If you really like your truck and just want more power? you got to go with boost- 2nd)Is it worth 5K to you? Mine has it had it on since week 2 of ownership. It hits hard off the line and that truck surprises a lot of people- more thanks to gearing than brute horse power because at freeway speeds most respectable performance vehicles will run me down that I was able to take off the line.

No. I have one. I love it but I certainly don't need it and it only adds to my maintenance.

I have heard that the SC would cause the engine to start using oil... is this true?

I am going to be doing some towing and thought the bump in power would be helpful, I'm usually conservative on the road but like the kid at hart that I am I do punch it every now and then especially when a disrespectful Ridgeline pulls up next to me or something... ;)
