can anyone verify if the Toyota Sill Protectors for a 2016 Tacoma off road double cab will have the word Tacoma stamped into the sill protector?

Dealer is putting them on and want to make sure they do not put lesser quality after market sill protectors on.

They do have Tacoma on them. But they just appear to be some thick decals, not plastic.

Mine are a black plastic that matches the other trim around the door and they say Toyota on them ... I'd take a picture and show you, but I'm in bed sick ... :puke:

I don't know if aftermarket are better or not, but I like how well the factory ones match and say Toyota. If aftermarket ones matched as well but maybe covered more area or something then I guess that would be cool ... I guess once the factory ones get scuffed up enough I'll look at options

Your Tacoma wasn't cheap either. Good quality parts to protect a good quality truck.

Mostly agree, but I'm not going to gold plate my under carriage to protect from corrosion. The cost of individual upgrades must be weighed on a cost/benefit basis compared to other options. It mostly comes down to personal preference on that.

I'm a sucker for small details that tie together styling themes ... I like the Tacoma on the front sill protector how it matches the floor liner

Gold plating really is a bad example. That would cost you more than the truck is worth. But I see what you are getting at.

My dogs ripped my stock door sills off in about 1 year of owning the truck.

My G-Tek sill are holding up perfect without a scratch. I say it's a good investment to protect the truck and they really are not that expensive considering the competitions (which isn't metal) is about the same price.
