For whatever reason my upstream Bank 2 Sensor 1 AFR sensor decided to go ballistic nuts and pop me a lean code and a shit running engine yesterday at both idle and acceleration. I hate a crappy running engine, so I decided to try to clean it and retest it today. No such luck.

I have a blower and proper air fuel ratio is important especially when in boost. So upon my failed cleaning of the sensor I went on a small journey to seek a replacement Denso AFR sensor (2011-2015) for our trucks. I managed to get a P/N: 234-9111 for our Denso replacements.

Now as luck would have it I could not find it ANYWHERE locally other than the dealer, and because those guys charge an arm and a leg and usually have to order it in anyways I figured why not check out an AFR sensor which is made for Toyota, after all, a sensor is a sensor and it's not like they have specific parameters built into them as long as they plug in and they have the same general purpose.

In a pinch, I have found that an AFR sensor for a 2007 Toyota Tundra will work as long as you are replacing upstream. Same wire length, plug, and all! Plugged and screwed right in and my truck is running great once again. :) I'm happy and I'll take it! Hell I actually think it is running better than before at response to acceleration.

    Denso P/N: 234-9026

So now you know. If you are ever in a bind, these will work just fine as a replacement.
