So my buddy has an 08 prerunner with a spindle lift and decided he wanted to go up to bigger tires/wheels. He happened to offer me his 17" procomps wrapped in 315/75 trail grapplers at a very good price and I picked them up. I test fit one and it seems I'm rubbing pretty good on the cab mount. I have a 2.5" level and I'm not scared to chop the mount and weld a new piece on as I I'm a welder/fabricator but has anyone else done this and possibly verify that I can trim enough off and it not rub on other things. I'd rather not chop it all up and they still not fit. Eventually I'll be getting a spindle lift but I would rather mount them now to sell my other wheels and tires to help pay for the lift. Any advice is appreciated!
