WILL 2009 LEER CAP FIT ON 2016

may be trading my 2009 access cab mag gray. i have a 2009 leer 100r on my truck that dealer doesn't seem to be interested in, will it fit on a 2016 access cab or 2016 double cab long bed?

 

If I'm not mistaken they changed the bed size on the 16 so it won't fit. Pull it off and sell it on here or Craigslist, it will sell. The dealer won't give you shit for it.

Bed is only deeper.

I don't recall if the width and length changed, I suspect not as the cab is the same cab. That said, the top of the bed sides where the shell sits may be completely different, as is the tailgate top - so it probably wouldn't fit anyway.

The length and width are almost identical. But the front wall of the bed is now flush with the sides. On the 2nd gens the front wall is .75 or 1.0 lower than the sides. Also rear tailgate is flat on top. Definitly take it off before you trade the truck in. You can probably get $1k for it.
