    If you use stock coils that depends on which setting you put them at. My question would be if your going with coils for lifting are there other shocks that are longer for the lift other than billies and nitrochargers that would work with 885s. Limited selection it seems

    OME Lift Kit: Front 90021 shocks with 885 coils. Nitrochargers 60091 shocks in the rear. Medium Duty Dakar leaf pack. 17 in TRD rims wrapped with Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 265/70/17
    Do you have anything set up for the rear? I'm thinking of doing this for my 2015.

    I've been following this thread for some time now. About a month ago, I installed 5100's (@ 0") with 885X's, 1/2" plate spacer on drivers side. (Took that to get mine level side to side) and Deavers 2" AAL w/5100's in rear. After 1500 miles, coils are done settling. I ended up with 22-7/8" center of hub to edge of fender height in front. (both sides) (2-7/8" lift from stock ride height) I was able to get ideal alignment numbers with STOCK UCA's. (adjustment is in the middle of their working range still) Did the alignment @ 550 miles in. Ride quality is fantastic! Handling is perfect, and on/off road performance is excellent. I didn't do the rear AAL until 2 days AFTER the front coils/shocks went on. (Already had 1" blocks in rear. They were removed when AAL added) The ride quality over all, and in particular in the front was dramatically BETTER after the rear AAL went in. Suspension needs balance front to rear....and the rear (stock leaf packs) was just too soft. Stiffer rear helped front ride quality noticeably. My plan WAS to do the AAL for now, and when there's more money available, got to Dakars.....May or may NOT be doing that now....Wait and see. I pulled a 21' Airstream travel trailer recently. Rear suspension handled that very well. (speeds up to 60mph) My daily commute is just over 50 miles, mostly rough concrete interstate at speeds averaging near 70mph. Ride there is MUCH improved over "stock" (TRD OR) But...long story short, if I knew then what I know now, I'd STILL go with the 885X's. Perfect choice for this truck!

    Yes, In the rear: 5100's and a Deaver 2" AAL.

    Blue grass Taco's post is spot on! I have the same setup and agree.
    My truck ride's on and off road so much better than stock.
    No hard dipping in the front when stopping and way way less body roll. Off Road in takes the rocks and holes ect great. No kidney belt needed.
    And it looks like a truck.. :)

    Did anyone who installed a rear aal pack happen to take out their overload leaf. Desperately in search of a set for my 2014 trd or mine were thrown by away by mistake during my rear 3 leaf progressive aal install. Springs have settled now I want the overload back. Any help locating some would be great.. Thanks Kyle

    I measured and have 2 1/2 " of lift

    885 OME lift with dakars. CRL fog lights
    Which lift is better the bilstein or the ome? they are about the same price. I'm looking to replace my stock shocks with 1 of these options. Being that I have no clue as to what I'm doing some help would be great. My Tacoma is an 06 access cab 4x4 sr5, no trd with 155,550 miles on it. Do I need to do anything with the struts?

    CROO both lifts are great heres the deal you go with ome your lifting your truck probably 3" if you do that than youll need UCA's if you run bilstein 5100's in the front and rear and 885's you will lift your truck approx. 2.5" and you will not need UCA's. with a extended cab i think you can use ome 884 since it is lighter than a double cab hope this helps and other T.W. peeps please feel free to chime in if I left something out.:pccoffee:

    Thinking the same thing. Bluegrass Taco used 885x, but his is DC; I am thinking 884s would be just the thing for AC...

    Front coils: Choose from options 884 coils for std and x cab models, 885 coils for D cab and additional weight, 886 coils for 200+ front weight from aftermarket bumper or winch This the Info from Toytec so i think 884 is the way to go if your not adding any additional weight

    I am going to go with either bilstein with OME coils or all OME. I want to get as much lift possible without getting new UCA right now. (so around 2.5") I have heard that to do this I should use 884 coils because I am a prerunner. (SBDC) Does anyone know which coils I should use?

    You still have a double cab which would take 885's to compensate for the DC weight.

    I just order 885 coils, Dakar leafs and 5100's all the way around. Springs are shipping out today or tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't see my shocks for about three weeks.

    I have been reading up and wanting to get my lift done for awhile,now I'm getting a winch bumper for the front,anyone have a idea the idea front coil for a added 150-200 or so lbs on the front of a 08 double cab 4x4?wont know the exact lbs till I finish the bumper

    It is going to depend on the amount of lift you want. I think the most popular choice will be the 886 coils.
