'03 DC Prerunner

My dad has a 2015 Tacoma TRD DC. I believe it comes with the gulf States alarm? I've read about trucks having a red light near the steering wheel having this alarm system. Not sure if that matters.

With or without that alarm system. Is there any way of disabling the lights coming on everytime he locks his truck?
