I've found a few threads online regarding raising the stock seat height in Tacos.(eg http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#SeatLiftFitment)

BUT the mounting HW for the 00 Taco has one vertically oriented bolt, and the other horizontal. I'd really like to raise my rump an inch or so, but think I'd need to fabricate some sort of additional bracket for the horizontal bolts.

    Anyone here done anything similar?

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I've sorta done it... When I did my seat swap to bucket seats I had to shim up one side because 60/40 bench (what I originally had) seats have weird mounts. But I cut and welded to lift it. You can't use spacers with how our seats are mounted, you'd either have to build a full lift bracket that lifts and provides holes in the same configuration as the floor pan or you'd have to cut your mounts off and weld some steel in between that and the rails. I'd probably make a bracket if I just needed to lift, but since I was swapping the whole seat anyway I just figured it into what I was already doing.

I swapped some bucket seats from a reg cab into my xtra cab that had the 60/40 bench. I'm convinced that the right side of the drivers seat is lower than the other side. Is this what you noticed?
