Background on the truck, 2006 Taco TRD OR DCSB, 189,xxx miles, auto trans. No drivetrain or suspension mods.

Earlier this week I noticed a vibration on acceleration, very light but noticable. Goes away at about 30mph. Tonight we were getting ready to head North so the truck was loaded and trailer attached, approx 2500-3000lbs weight between what was in the box and on the trailer. We left the house and there was a "clicking" noise along with the vibration coming from the rear of the truck. We turned around, put the truck up on jackstands, checked the u-joints, good, pulled the rear brakes, worn but in good condition. Truck has the E-locker so I checked that it wasn't locked or hanging up. Anyone have any other ideas?

Pull the drive shaft and properly check the U-Joints... Can't really check them in the truck unless they are about to fall apart.

Thanks Jimmyh, did a bunch of research last night, U-joints and/or support bearing seem to be the common theme. Heading to the parts store in a bit for 3 new u-joints and a center support bearing so I have them on hand when I pull the driveshaft, just in case.

Sounds like u joints, clicking or squeezing are common symptoms. The squeezing will typically go away if it's raining and the joint gets wet. Maybe you have pissed someone off and they put a plastic wire tie around your driveshaft .... I've seen it done.... Lol.

If it is a joint, replace it quickly, losing a front joint can pole vault you.
