With you there. I was into heavy metal, death metal, and hardcore since about 11 years of age. That didn't go over too well at home, in part because my folks are very strict Catholics.

I will admit to doing certain things I shouldn't have (smoking and the occasional adult beverage) but never got caught at it. I also worked my whole life..had 2 paper routes at the age of 9, at 11 was doing yardwork for my neighbors, and so on. Then again I was the older of the 2, 3 years ahead of my sister so I was the one they learned on haha. The dating thing wasn't an issue for me, I went to an all-boys school and hated the girls in my town so I was too busy working and wrenching on my cars.

Yes I still love the loud music and have plenty of concert shirts to prove it. Don't have the long hair anymore..but I have a house, 2 cars, a good job along with a part time job and a college degree.

Just thought of another one. A few years ago when my oldest boy was about 4, I was driving him to daycare when out of the blue he says, "You don't have to be bald dad." I said "really?" Next words out of his mouth were "Ya, I saw this thing on TV............"

    Thanks son.:D

    Yeah.
We used to have these things attached to the backs of the 4Runner seats with a bunch of pockets for kid stuff. After 6 years of use they were pretty nasty, so I threw them out. First conversation when my 4-year old first got in the car:

4-year old: "Where'd the thing on the seat go?"

Mom: "Dad threw it away, it was gross."

4-year old: "Dammit! Where am I gonna put my stuff?"

Not my kid but my 2 year old cousin:

Me: where do you work? (She likes to say that she works for our county, or for lowes)
Her: I work at hooties office. (Hootie is my uncles boss)
Me: What do you do for him?
Her: (looks into my eyes, dead serious) "I kills him."

I don't know whether to be proud or scared of the little grommet.

    Too many to list now.
I overheard Gracie talking in the bathroom to Charlie (our cat) saying "man Charlie, my poop is tired. It's taking so long to come out it must be really tired. Come on poop!"
