Unfortunatly I lost 20+ fish to Ick gotta re stock. Tetras don't like to hold still for long.

I tried to do a tank a few years back. Damn thing is too complicated these days. Killed 3 $15 fish. I was done then, put it up and haven't thought about it again.

Had a 100 gallon tank with salt water fish a while back. So cool, but a shit ton of work. The rule of thumb is the bigger the tank, the easier it is to keep them alive. More water means a little error isn't as critical. Still, expensive as hell.

Wow! I probably should have picked an easier one to judge! There were too many good entries. I even tried to enlist the help of my wife and sister and we all had multiple favorites.

    Justinmbowen:
    I Will Eat Your Soul
Wow! I love the color and intensity of this. Just beautiful.

    erdub54:
    Sunsets with my husky
Sunsets are always great backdrops, especially with a Husky silhouette.

    WildLand:
Life and Times of Ginger McGuire
This one just looks guilty of something.

    oneshort:
This one looks like our cat. I would love to see the face though.

    Don5352:
Sadie Mae. 4 year old German Short Haired Pointer.
The colors and relaxation are terrific. A solid picture needs the complimentary colors.

    Davidpick:
Hiking with my buddy and our dogs in Smith Rock State Park this morning.
These boys look like they want to play. I do feel it would be a stronger picture if it was cropped to just the dogs or if it included the full person.

    DougDeBonet:
    My boy Blue!
So peaceful and I love the muted colors. Great focus on the subject.

    shipps:
Encountered a very rare window of opportunity to snag a photo while my mutt was calm and peaceful.
Another strong image with great color. The image looks black and white with just the highlight of color in the eye even though when you look closer you see there is color in the background. This is a very strong image and I can't take my eye away from, well, the eye.

    ckeene9:
Nothing special but got it this morning.
She looks to be about a second away from going after something. That is a great expression. I think a tight crop focused on her face and expression would make for a really fantastic image.

    113tac:
Here is my submission for this week. he finally fell asleep after I had started trying to get a photo of him haha
This is another that really grabbed all of our attention. Very peaceful and serene. It looks like a quiet afternoon of relaxation.

    skidooman:
I was building fence, Cole was trying to snooze without me in his grill.
I thought it was funny this one posted right after the previous. Both dogs have such a relaxed expression. The lighting is terrific and really highlights the face.

    Spintly:
    Geese. Cloe Lake @ Sunset - 3/9/16
Very nice location here. Some of the geese get lost in the shadows though. It makes me think the image would have been stronger with a few more minutes wait to get all of the geese in the light. I think a more underexposed image would really bring out the colors of the sunset.

Beautiful dog! What is the breed. Her eyes really grab your focus.

Again, I tried to even find some help with my wife and sister and this was VERY tough. In the end, the tie breaker went to one of the images that I really kept going back to - the blue eye.

    Winner: shipps!
