First, may I introduce myself to you; I have been involved in Toyota's for a long time, still restoring my 89 (Tacoma SR-5) now for over 10 years, slow as the project goes due to work and non heated car cover, I have put so much work into it and love everyday I do it!
Have a question on my 2014 Tacoma sport with the towing package, have bought a 2006, 26 foot surveyor trailer with a new stabilizer anti sway hitch. "Her" trailer comes in at about 4800 plus dry and is rated at 5800 full; we are mindful of the length and weight behind the Tacoma and don't plan to load it up to the towing capacity of 6500, rated towing capacity.
Some feed back and questions: what would be the best progressive break controller on the market you would go with, we have some really long steep hills going to the lake and going through the province, with that said; How do you feel the Tacoma will fair up hill as we know we wont be passing Fords. I will add another spring on the back.

    Reserected from the dead.
Prodigy P3 is the best controller.

What distances are you hauling? That trailer is not going to be fun pulling with the Tacoma.

By the way, welcome from Michigan.

Will be holiday about 1200 miles there and back to the coast for fishing, around home here 200 miles to the lakes on flat land, its an ultra light trailer towed behind an ultra light, I have confidence on the Yoda. Going from Alberta to my stomping grounds in British Columbia for salmon and sea fishing, just have questions on the tranny I guess
